HJ3 offers the most comprehensive line of high strength composite materials for reinforcing and protecting structures against earthquakes, blasts, and environmental damage. Through its line of Composite Wraps & Laminates, HJ3 integrates the advancements made in material science from the aerospace industry to product solutions for the construction industry. Our company is uniquely qualified to design and manufacture a system to restore large diameter concrete and steel tunnels, large diameter pipe as well as columns, beams and concrete slabs. The unique characteristics of our materials; light weight, high strength, high durability in aggressive environments and flexibility, lend them to a wide variety of infrastructure repairs.
HJ3s vision is to provide innovative materials and technology for cost effective solutions to complex construction problems in the areas of retrofitting and upgrading structures. Our line of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite products make buildings safer, make transportation infrastructure stronger, protect against explosions, and mitigate the harmful effects of seismic forces. By minimizing instalation time, saving structures from demolition, and by making them stronger than their initial design capacities, HJ3s materials and technologies result in a cost-effective and innovative solution for restoring the world's infrastructure. To become the worlds leading innovator for high strength composites in infrastructure, HJ3 relies on the expertise of its co-founder and director of research and development, Dr. Hamid Saadatmanesh. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Saadatmanesh has established himself as the worlds leading expert in the field of composites for infrastructure. While a researcher at the University of Arizona, Dr. Saadatmanesh published over 150 technical articles on the use of high strength composites and managed over 23 funded National Science Foundation Grants. As a result of this research, over 500,000 square feet of advanced composites have been supplied for seismic retrofitting, blast mitigation, and numerous structural repair applications.
